Contact the new member before their first drill.

Issue sponsorship folder and explain purpose.

Talk/Meet the Family & Discuss Family Orientation Program.

Offer transportation to the first drill.

Accompany new member throughout in-processing.

Discuss first day's events.

Tour the Armory.

Introduce to:

  • Unit Clerk
  • Training NCO
  • Supply Sergeant
  • First Sergeant
  • Unit Commander
    Follow Up:
  • ID Card issued
  • Transportation to next drill
  • Benefits are explained
  • Chain of command is understood
  • Member has copy of drill schedule for year
  • Uniforms are issued and member understands where patches go and how to wear the uniform
